The Distribution Committee of the Coshocton Foundation had their second meeting of Fiscal Year 2026 recently and reviewed 32 Unrestricted Grant Applications totaling $465,887.59. The committee awarded 7 total and 9 partial grants totaling $110,914.00 to several community organizations. The grants awarded include:

  • $30,000 to the Coshocton County Drug & Alcohol Council, Inc. to aid in critical renovations and preservation efforts for CBHC’s historic facility, ensuring continued access to mental health and addiction treatment services
  • $30,000 to the Roscoe Village Foundation, Inc. to assist with the complete restoration of the Monticello III Canal Boat
  • $10,000 to Ridgewood Local School District to assist in the creation of a safe, engaging playground at Ridgewood Middle School that supports student wellness and activity
  • $6,500 to the Coshocton County Fatherhood Initiative to provide support for positive, ongoing family-youth activities with a focus on father-child relationships in Coshocton County
  • $5,000 to River View Local School District to provide assistance in the creation of a STE(A)M Lab for the purpose of developing creativity, communication, and collaboration among RVHS students
  • $5,000 to the Coshocton County Agricultural Society to assist in the purchase of picnic tables to be placed around the grounds of the Coshocton County Fairgrounds to be utilized by the public for eating and as rest areas
  • $4,000 to The Salvation Army to provide assistance in purchasing digital equipment and furniture to serve Coshocton youth with after school care
  • $3,500 to United Way of Coshocton County, Inc. to provide support for the sustainability and expansion of the Emergency Food Box Program
  • $3,100 to the Coshocton Public Health District (Coshocton County WIC) to assist in providing access to nutrient dense foods and education related to nutrition to families with food insecurities
  • $3,000 to Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio to provide support for Junior Achievement Programing in Coshocton County
  • $3,000 to Women of Witness, Inc. (The Chestnut Crossing Learning Center) to provide support for work ethic programs, vocational skill programs and more for impoverished youth in Coshocton County in order to provide enrichment opportunities to break the cycle of poverty
  • $2,000 to River View Local School District to provide for telescopes and new fishing equipment and supplies to support activities at Camp Ohio
  • $1,675 to the Coshocton County Juvenile Court (Coshocton Resource Center) to support the 2026 Summer Youth Program connecting youth to essential community resources and services
  • $1,570 to the Coshocton County Career Center to provide support in the purchase of (2) Bleeding Control Kits for classrooms so that staff can respond immediately and effectively to life-threatening emergencies
  • $1,449 to the Coshocton Public Health District to provide support in the purchase of equipment for the environmental health programs
  • $1,120 to the River View Local School District to assist in the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to replace the current obsolete unit

The Coshocton Foundation’s Distribution Committee’s third and final meeting for Fiscal Year 2026 will be held in early September. The deadline for Unrestricted Grant Applications for the meeting will be August 21, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
