The Distribution Committee of the Coshocton Foundation had their third and final meeting of Fiscal Year 2025 recently and reviewed 8 Unrestricted Grant Applications totaling $78,136.09. The committee awarded 5 total and 1 partial grant totaling $22,0111.09 to several community organizations. The grants awarded include:

  • $10,000 to Echoing Hills Village, Inc. to assist with providing transportation to medical appointments and self-fulfillment opportunities, while supporting the integration into the greater community by those being served
  • $3,350 to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Appalachian Ohio to provide ongoing support in providing educational, social and relationship-building enrichment opportunities to Coshocton County Lunch Buddies for the 2025-2026 school year
  • $3,096.09 to the Walhonding Valley Fire District to provide support in the Purchase of three station computers and accessories to complete the update for the officers’ office
  • $2,915 to the Village of West Lafayette (Police Dept.) to assist with their project to purchase a Speed Aware Radar Sing to help reduce speeds and promote safety for residents
  • $2,000to Coshocton City Schools (Elementary) to provide two-years’ support for the innovative The Future Is Now Program, sending 5th-grade students to visit colleges and technical schools to introduce the idea of higher learning after high school     
  • $650 to First Step FVIS, Inc. to provide support in the purchase of a new table top printer, copier, scanner and fax machine for use at the Hope House Shelter

In addition to the 6 first-time grants awarded, three previously partially-awarded grants received additional consideration. Those include:

  • $14,216.80 to the Pregnancy Center of Coshocton to assist with their Renovation Project of previously vacant, donated space at their new location
  • $27,121.95 to Coshocton County EMS to provide support in the purchase of MARCS Radios as part of their replacement project
  • $10,000 to the Coshocton County Public Library to provide assistance with their extensive Public Library Façade Repair Project

The Coshocton Foundation’s Distribution Committee’s first meeting for Fiscal Year 2026 will be held in early January. The deadline for Unrestricted Grant Applications for the meeting will be December 5, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.

The Coshocton Foundation was established in 1966 through the Last Will and Testament of local merchant Adolph Golden and has distributed over $10 million in grants to community organizations from its Unrestricted Fund.  In addition, the Foundation has over 185 Restricted Funds from which distributions are made for specific purposes.
