The Distribution Committee of the Coshocton Foundation had their third and final meeting of Fiscal Year 2024 recently and reviewed 15 grant applications totaling $278, 995.97. The committee awarded 9 grants totaling $127,296.06 to various community organizations. The grants awarded include:
- $49,516.86 to Kids America, Inc. to assist with their HVAC replacement project
- $20,000 to the Village of Warsaw to assist in making the River View Community Park more ADA accessible with ADA playground equipment
- $13,720.20 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville to provide assistance with a pilot for a school-based youth mentoring program, “Lunch Buddies” at Coshocton County schools
- $12,888 to the Coshocton County Coordinated Transportation Agency to assist in the equipping of four new Revenue Service Vehicles with Cameras
- $12,000 to the Ridgewood Local School District to provide support for the Blessings Bags Program, which provides food items for students to reduce food insecurity for the 2024-25 school year
- $6,500 to Coshocton City Schools to provide support for the purchase of the Think Law Program for Critical Thinking Curriculum
- $5,421 to the River View Athletic Boosters to provide assistance with the replacement of old, steel volleyball poles with carbon fiber poles, making daily set-up safer for players to handle
- $4,100 to the Coshocton City Schools to provide funding for a Life Skills Service Project Initiative for the Multi-categorical classroom at Coshocton High School
- $3,150 to the Roscoe Village Foundation, Inc. to provide support in the purchase of a trailer to safely transport the main stage to and from Hill Street for all Roscoe Village events
The Coshocton Foundation’s Distribution Committee’s first meeting for Fiscal Year 2025 will be in early January of 2025. The deadline for Unrestricted Grant Applications for the meeting will be December 13, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
