The Distribution Committee of the Coshocton Foundation had their first meeting of Fiscal Year 2025 recently and reviewed 22 grant applications totaling $448,690.65. The committee awarded 16 grants totaling $144,992.26 to various community organizations. The grants awarded include:

  • $50,000 to Kids America, Inc. to further assist with their ongoing HVAC re-design and replacement project
  • $26,132.16 to the Coshocton County Board of Commissioners to assist in providing matching grant funds for the CR 621 Multi-use Path Project
  • $19,861.97 to Coshocton Is Blooming to provide support in the purchase of both a larger trailer for water hauling and a larger utility vehicle to pull the added weight of the new trailer and larger water tank
  • $15,000 to the Coshocton County EMS to assist with their MARCS radio Replacement Project
  • $6,000 to the River View Local School District to provide support for a portable system consisting of a large screen and projection unit for the Elementary School for classroom and community programming
  • $4,789.78 to the Coshocton County Maternal & Child Health Center to provide support for the purchase of a handheld Ultrasound with compatible printer to better serve Prenatal Clinic patients
  • $3,800 to Coshocton Public Health to provide assistance with their plans to improve services and reach a higher percentage of the county’s population
  • $3,150 to Coshocton City Schools to provide support for 3 teams of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to attend the United States Legislative Summit
  • $3,000 to Women of Witness, Inc. to provide assistance with the operational costs and other expenses of the Learning Center for K-12 students
  • $2,850 to Three Rivers Recreation, Inc. for the final phase of field restorations at River View Park in Warsaw
  • $2,626.32 to Moving Mountains Ranch, Inc. for the purchase of safety equipment to enhance their safety and emergency response capabilities
  • $2,000 to the Girls Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland Council, Inc. to assist girls in Coshocton County to experience the confidence-building and leadership opportunities available through local troops and Girls Scouts’ programming
  • $2,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, Inc. to assist in providing nights of rest for local families with seriously-ill children
  • $2,000 to Women of Witness, Inc. for the purchase of recovery Bibles for the WOW Jail Ministry Team and women inmates at the Coshocton County Justice Center
  • $1,032.03 to Walhonding Fire District to assist with their Station Computer Project 2025
  • $750 to Coshocton City Schools to provide support for a trip for 5th grade students to attend an Akron Rubber Ducks minor league baseball game
