The Coshocton Foundation has announced its 2025 scholarship program for adult, “non-traditional” students.
Foundation Executive Director Bob Pell explained that the Coshocton Foundation awards more than 100 scholarships each year, most of which are designated for graduating high school seniors. In recent years, more adults are returning to college and many have expressed a need for financial help.
The Foundation partners with COTC and the Coshocton Promise program through the Grace and Clarence Miller Scholarship Fund. Once accepted to COTC, no additional application is required, but the FAFSA must be completed and income and residency guidelines apply.
The Foundation also is offering these scholarships this year to students age 21 or older:
- Beulah Brownfield Memorial Adult Scholarship – $1,000 one-time award, regardless of school or major.
- Ruby S. Hawthorne Memorial Adult Scholarship – $1,000 one-time award with no restriction on the student’s school or major.
- Jones Metal Products Company Adult Legacy Scholarship – $2,000 one-time award for a student attending COTC’s Coshocton Campus.
- George Leach Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 one-time award for an individual who is an honorably discharged veteran or who is actively serving.
- Ruth Schooler Memorial Adult Scholarship – $1,000 one-time for an individual going into the field of business or related areas.
