The 2nd Annual Larry Robinson Memorial Tournament is June 7th-9th, 2024.

There are 76 baseball teams signed up to play throughout the weekend on fields at Lake Park, Kids America, Garaway and River View high schools, and Muskingum University.

Larry’s brother Gary, and his wife Cindy, will be in town for the tournament and Gary will be throwing out the first pitch at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7th, at Lake Park’s Ben Tufford Field.

The free-entry tournament is supported through the R. Larry and Judith Ann Heagle Robinson Fund at the Coshocton Foundation. The fund was established in 2021 with a very generous bequest from the couple.

A Coshocton native, Larry Robinson enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and was a standout pitcher in high school. He continued to play at Ohio University and graduated with a degree in engineering.

Larry and his wife, the former Judith Ann Heagle, were high school sweethearts, married in August 1968. Larry had a very successful career with Columbia Gas, with his final post serving in regional management in Charleston, WV. He and Judy returned to Coshocton after his retirement. Judy passed away in August of 2019, and Larry in August of 2021.

In 2002 Larry and his brother Gary established the Harmon “Robby” Robinson and Norma Robinson Scholarship Fund, in honor of their parents, at the Coshocton Foundation. This scholarship is given annually to a high school senior attending the Coshocton County Career Center and also a senior who is active in the Nazarene Church.
